2. Our approach

Pyramind has no accounts, no tracking, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. The app is built so that virtually no personal data is collected in the first place.

3. The app

All learning data – decks, cards, and progress – is stored locally on your device (SwiftData).

Pyramind Pro: The optional one-time purchase "Pyramind Pro" is handled through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Payment is processed entirely by Apple; we never receive any payment details.

iCloud sync (Pro): If you enable it, the app syncs your learning data to the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account. The data lives in your iCloud account; in this respect, Apple acts as your data processor. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Microphone: Microphone access is used solely to record audio for your cards; recordings are stored locally. Speech output runs entirely on-device.

4. The website

This website is static: no cookies, no analytics, no third-party embeds – even the fonts are self-hosted.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider briefly processes technically necessary server logs (IP address, time of access, user agent) for operational and security purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation).

5. Deck editor

The deck editor on this website runs entirely in your browser. Decks you create and media you upload never leave your browser and are not transmitted anywhere. Local caching only takes place in your browser's localStorage.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we collect virtually no personal data, there is usually nothing on file that we could disclose.
